July Currently (2014)

I can't believe that it is already July!!!  Summer, please slow down you are going by way to fast!

I'm linking up with Farley @ Oh Boy 4th Grade for her July Currently Linky Party!

Listening:  I'm listening to another soccer game.  For those of you who don't follow soccer it is World Cup Time!  It happens once every 4 years like the Olympic games!  The Men's and Women's World Cups are on different cycles.  Different cycles, hahahaha!  Yes, Men have their own cycle and everyone knows it!

Anyhow...it's currently the Men's World Cup.  Both of my children have grown up playing soccer and my husband coaches.

 Erik (White Jersey)
Super Youth Nationals Summer 2012.  His Team placed 4th in the Nation.  They lost in the Semifinals...heartbreaking.

Elizabeth's Senior Year
of High School, 2010.  Her team won the Atlanta Cup Tournament.  Game went to down to a PK Shoot Out!  It was too exciting to take pictures!  I wanted to throw up!  The most nerve racking soccer game ever!!  Her performance on this team lead to College Scholarships!  She even had an Official Signing Day!  We are very proud!!!

USA Men's National Team plays again today!  GO USA!!!

Loving: I love everything about summer vacation!  Especially not having to set the alarm clock.  I love not knowing what day it is!!

Thinking:  I really should start at least one project that is on my summer list, but I just keep floating around the pool, reading a book, or blogging!!

Wanting:  To go outside right now and float around my pool, but it is raining!  Boo!

Needing:  To go to the grocery store and buy more food!  I also need to mop the floors, but cleaning is the last thing that I am motivated to do. Floating around the pool beats out mopping every time!  Maybe if someone comes over to visit me I'll feel more motivated to mop first...

4th Plans:  I don't have anything special planned except to enjoy my family.  We will swim, have a cook-out, and enjoy!  Maybe we will buy a few fireworks to set off in the street.  The kids are grown, so we don't go to the park for the big display anymore.  My kids will most likely go out at night with their friends and my hubby and I will cuddle up with our 4-legged family members.  Our pups don't like all the neighborhood firework noise and will need to be comforted well into the night.

Happy 4th of July!!  Go USA!!

  1. Hi Susan!
I found you through Farley's currently linky. My daughter plays soccer too. She is only 8 though. I really enjoy watching her but I'm not a sit in front of the tv and watch any kind of sport girl. Just not a fan of sports unless my kids are playing. I totally have the same feeling about summer going by too fast. August is always so busy with school meetings and other things I don't really count it as summer vacation:( Have a great 4th!!

  2. We are a soccer family too. My son is only 9, but I can't wait for him to play as he gets older. It is such a fun sport to watch.
